Figure Drawing - Test Run!

I am so pleased I did a test run this week. I was amazed how much I needed to do to get ready for it! The model I had originally booked hurt his leg so cancelled on Sunday but I was lucky enough to get Mark, an extremely experienced life model, to step in at the last moment.

Mark was a delight to work with and needed no direction at all. I had six paying volunteers (just to cover Mark's fee) who helped with useful feedback which I will take note of!

Originally I had planned to register 8 people per session but to be quite honest, 6 is enough. I want my learners to feel comfortable and creative not cramped and creative! So, 6 is the maximum for the life drawing sessions and 8 for the others.

I have a busy week planning the open day on 12th March and making a sample for the community project I hope to be successful in getting.

thewhitegallery is a small quality gallery in Bollington that I pass every day. I finally managed to nip in today to introduce myself to Fiona Bailey, the owner. What a lovely lady! The gallery is small but packed with powerful images and objects.

My new favourite shop in Macclesfield...hm - does it sell clothes, or shoes or cakes? No - MDF! S&M Supplies in Macclesfield is an absolute MUST for friendly staff, providing a cheap and quick service! I love it round here.

Well, I'd best get on - samples to prepare, leaflets to design, visitors to invite...

:-)
