Macclesfield Town FC Community Mosaic - day 4

Well, that's another panel sorted...

...off to the David Lewis Centre this afternoon. 

This panel depicts the time in the 1900s when ladies were admitted free! I wonder if any men donned a skirt and tried to get in?

The other half of the panel shows the 1910 joy of the football club when they won the Cheshire Senior cup.

the day before

The sun is streaming through the studio window, White Nancy is looking resplendent, draped in the rays and I'm sitting at my desk drinking the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. And I made it myself!

I have so much to do for tomorrow, I'm a little concerned it's going to be finished! At least I have the design agreed for the East Cheshire Hospice mosaic and I know what I'm doing for the Bridgend Centre painting.

Going to get off and finish my brochure.

Launch

The community mosaic mural presentation last night went very well. Nothing signed or sealed as yet so fingers crossed the funding is available.

The studio launch is Saturday 12th March - 11.00am - 4.00pm and I am just working on the details. Lots of lovely special offers!

Now I have worked out how to operate the 'add image' there should more images coming on future blogs.

I am waiting for some fittings to arrive to get my mosaics up on the wall so next time I have a photo taken at my desk, you will not see my blu-tac'd reminders up there!

The photo of the studio shows how much lovely light I get here but also how much more organising I have to do before the learners come!

Mosaic, silk painting, eco art, painting, life drawing....

Oh what to plan first? I'm so excited about planning a range of courses and workshops but need to organise the studio first. Just got another desk put in because it was quite clear that the desk I had was not big enough...or should that be that my stuff is too big for a single desk!

Getting organised - the first advert is going in Bollington Live - so looking forward to teaching my first sessions here.

We have a printer!

What a gorgeous day!  I can see White Nancy from the window of the studio and the sun is bouncing off her.  Ben from Nestable has just popped upstairs from his office in Adelphi Mill to put the wireless printer online. I can print!

I just wish I had my Mac here so I could download the template for all my invoices instead of having to start again on Vista. C'est la vie!

Once I have this quote finished, I can get a few more boxes tidied - I did say I would empty the five remaining. Hmm. Fingers crossed!

I hope there are plenty of people out there who want to learn mosaics and crafts!
