September Smiles

I love September! Children are back in school and the grown ups can come out to play.

It was so nice to see my regular ladies again and our newest addition to the group - all working on something TOTALLY different!

The new Yogi teas were a hit - ginger and orange but I think I might just have to get some of the chocolate tea in. Yum.

I have promised to make my ginger and banana loaf for next week so I might just have to get some fresh bananas today so they will be just right for baking at weekend. It's always best left to mature for a couple of days.

No soup recipe today - I am trying to work out how to still do soup on Wednesdays. It will come to me but in the meantime, I've put a little recipe at the end of the blog - a nice sauce to accompany chicken and steamed potatoes.

I felt like to doing a little dance before - the sun was out, brews and  biscuits were on the table and chit chat was flowing.

We did, as always, get to discussing food and I promised I would share my recipe for my favourite quick sauce:

To serve 2

1 tablespoon low fat mayonnaise

2 tablespoons natural yoghurt

1 teaspoon English mustard

1/2 teaspoon honey

Mix well and serve in a sauce bowl on your plate.

I love this with baked chicken breast, steamed beetroot and potatoes, served with green beans and cauliflower.

Oh what to plan first? I'm so excited about planning a range of courses and workshops but need to organise the studio first. Just got another desk put in because it was quite clear that the desk I had was not big enough...or should that be that my stuff is too big for a single desk!

Getting organised - the first advert is going in Bollington Live - so looking forward to teaching my first sessions here.

Monday, Monday...

Good morning all you good people!

After a refreshing weekend in beautiful Bollington, I am ready to take on the world, again.

Walked up to White Nancy. I am DEFINITELY going to have to join the gym in the new year. Phew! Worth the views, though. Absolutely stunning and as my mate Oliver told me, I got a 'good sky day'. Yep, I know what you mean.

Well, despite lots of ideas for small, gift-size mosaics, I am going to spend the day filling my ebay shop with craft materials that I have been meaning to sell for ages.

Is it me or is it INCREDIBLY boring inputting information about stock?

I have put up a picture of White Nancy for you all to enjoy.  Sorry it is only with a little digital camera - can you imagine the quality with a good quality SLR?

Milk Bottle Top Hill

Good morning folks!  BRR - well, we woke up this morning FREEZING! Yes, the heating had decided to go to sleep and not wake up this morning. It's not all bad, though, a little persuasion from me and it awoke, albeit sleepily.  Ah, warm again.

I was chatting to a friend of mine the other day and we were talking about White Nancy. She said their school would take children up to 'milk bottle hill' in Bollington. I wonder if this is White Nancy? It does fit!

That leads me to my next though, I'm delivering some card making sessions at the community centre on 25th November and I think I might design a Christmas White Nancy Card...

Ok - that's me signing off for this morning. Got to get my boy to school then come back and create.
